Tommy Wingels left the Sharks vs Panthers game today early in the first period. He went awkwardly into the boards after getting his skates tangled up with Aaron Ekblad. Watching the replay, his left shoulder looks like the main point of contact as he turns to avoid going head first.
Wingels is the second depth player to have gone down in the past week, with Brenden Dillon suffering an upper body injury against Chicago. Dillon will likely return soon and Wingels shouldn't be out too long. With the trade deadline looming, the Sharks may try to acquire some more depth for situations like these, or recall someone from the Barracuda.
