Welcome to the April installment of Sharks prospect statistics and updates. All leagues are in the playoffs or offseason right now, so we will update you on the playoff status of these prospects.
There is a very small sample size here so these numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. At the top we see a familiar name in Dan O'Regan, who went PPG in the NCAA playoffs/Frozen Four. BU lost in the finals to Providence, and it will be interesting to see if O'Regan turns pro or returns to college for his senior year. Rourke Chartier is having a solid playoff run with Kelowna, who are contenders for the Memorial Cup. Labanc and Sadowy both had underwhelming postseasons and were an early out (sweeped in Sadowy's case). The AHL players have a game later today where they face elimination against Hershey.
Julius Bergman was the lone defensive prospect who put up points in the playoffs. Unfortunately his London team met Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters. Mirco Mueller has a thumb injury potentially keeping him out of the AHL playoffs and World Championships.
Joel Rumpel is playing for the Allen Americans in the ECHL where he is putting up solid numbers. Troy Grosenick started Game 3 for Worcester and backstopped them to their only win (so far) in the series.
