Gabryel Boudreau was selected 49th overall by San Jose in the 2013 Entry draft. He had 63 points in 67 games during his draft year. The next season, 2013-14, his production dropped almost 50% with 35 points in 67 games. It resulted in him being traded from Baie-Comeau to Chicoutimi, where he will play this coming season. A major turnaround is in order if Boudreau, a big boom/bust pick, wants a chance to prove that he is not just a wasted 2nd round pick. Here is a comment from a private scout on Boudreau's play this preseason.
Boudreau's looking a lot better this pre-season. He's not trying to do too much or be too fancy. He's playing a really simple game. Bosch (the head coach) has been great with him. I was watching how they interact with one another on the bench, and Boudreau's intently listening, nodding all the time, cracking smiles--he looks a lot different than he was last season. (LINK)
We'll see how this translates to regular season play with Chicoutimi in 2014-15.
